Happy Wednesday!
After struggling to write much at all in September – both on here and in my journal – it feels good to get some words on a page. I’m thankful for the fresh burst of energy that has arrived with October.
Blogging
I’ve been working really hard on my Instagram lately! Annaliese mentioned how she posted every single day for a month, and it inspired me to do the same. I did great for two days, then had a very unexpected, incredibly pleasant surprise where I really wanted to be in the moment.
My biggest conundrum since I started blogging again is determining how much of my life I want to share. I started this blog seven years ago at the age of 22. My life – and the lives of my family and friends who make guest appearances on here – has obviously changed a lot since then. Learning to find that balance as someone who is an open book about certain phases of my life and fiercely protective of others is a challenge I’m actively working through.
Willie
Our first month together was rough, but Willie girl and I are finally hitting our stride! She is the sweetest little gal. When I wakeup in the morning, she’s always snuggled up next to me.
She has an interview today for doggie daycare, so say a little prayer that her anxiety stays to a minimum and she does well. She was so sweet at her new vet appointment Monday. I dropped her off curbside, and she basically jumped back into my arms after her appointment… then cried as she watched the nurse walk away. Girlfriend has never met a stranger.
PS – She has an instagram now! Check her out @williewoof 😊
Shopping
I’ve been taking advantage of sales and doing a little bit of shopping this month. My favorites? I purchased this bodysuit in a size small to go with this skirt. I also purchased this bodysuit (in a size small) to layer.
More practical purchases have included a Roku and some clips to use while putting skirts and pants on hangers.
The next month is going to be expensive for me, so I’m watching what I spend.
Health
I’ve felt really good lately now that I have some energy again! I’ve been eating and cooking healthier and taking my vitamins every day. (When I started Care/of, a lot of people asked me if I could tell the difference. After taking 10 days off on accident, I can assure you that answer is yes!)
I’ve also started taking a natural sleep supplement, and I sleep through the night. It’s incredible
Life in general
Well, I’m moving… again! It was definitely unexpected, and I’m sad to be leaving my little apartment that I love so much. This will be my second move since arriving in Nashville in January, and my fifth move in the last 18 months. I’m hopeful that my next move will be my last one until I purchase a place of my own. If anything, another move has made me even more confident that Nashville is where I’m meant to be.
