Happy Friday! I don’t know about y’all, but it has been a week for me. Work is wild, I’ve been battling allergies, and sweet Willie girl is teething. But today is Friday, the weather is stunning, and things are looking up. I’ve been working hard to focus on the positives, so today’s post is about five things I’ve been enjoying lately.
The Wife Between Us This book is amazing. I was never into thrillers until quarantine rolled around, and now probably every other book I read is one. It’s frustrating to read a book that feels like a (not as great) version of a book you’ve already read. I haven’t read anything like this one before!
Here a quick synopsis from Amazon: Twisted and deliciously chilling, Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen’s The Wife Between Us exposes the secret complexities of an enviable marriage – and the dangerous truths we ignore in the name of love.
I opted to listen to this one instead of literally reading, and the narrator is great. I’ll also add that there is some violence in this book, so if that’s hard for you, I would pass this one over. I was definitely caught off guard by it a bit.
Filthy Rich I wasn’t much of a TV person before quarantine; I think I’ve now watched everything even remotely cute, funny, and/or interesting on Hulu. My newest obsession? Filthy Rich. Fox describes the premise of the show as “The unknown heirs of a wealthy businessman hatch a plan to get a piece of his fortune.”
It’s a comedy, but it hits on topics like hypocrisy in faith and feminism. And Kim Cattrall crushes it as the matriarch of a Southern, evangelical family. If you watch it, I want to know what you think!
Dry Conditioner Waterless ($7) I wash my hair once a week-ish, so I don’t condition it nearly as much as I should. I’ve started using this dry conditioner every time I use hot tools on my hair. It helps with fly aways and my very dry ends, and it smells absolutely delicious. I received this as a sample in my Allure Beauty Box, but definitely plan to purchase it when I run out.
AsaVea Bright White Pen (2 for $20) This was a gift from a friend who knows how much I love trying new things. He uses it and loves it, especially since the results are much quicker than other whitening products. I saw noticeable results after my first use and have continued to be pleased with my results.
Aquis Original Hair Turban ($21) This was another gift from a friend! If you have long hair, this product will save you so much time. It’s simple to use and comfortable, I actually wear mine while I’m on calls or cleaning the apartment. This $21 product will significantly cut back on the amount of time you’re spending with your hair dryer!

I’ve been wanting to watch filthy rich- it sounds so good!! Also a rec for you: if you haven’t watched Superstore yet on Hulu you MUST! My fav 🙂

Let me know what you think! Ooh, adding it to my list. I’m about to finish The Bold Type and will definitely need something to fill that void. Thank you 😊
