Spring is in the air, and spring fever is hitting me hard. I’m embracing any opportunity to get outside, taking more “fresh air breaks” at the office, cleaning out my desk, and purging my apartment. I’m trading out my wardrobe of deep colors for bright and colorful Lilly Pulitzer, and I’ve even created a new spring fever beauty routine – trading my nude lipstick for a colorful lip gloss and my love of contour for something a little softer. Below is a list of products I use to achieve my new spring fever beauty look, listed in the order that I use them.
eyeshadows: Juvia’s Place Nubian Eyeshadow Palette and Mally Shadowstick (Burnished Bronze)
I always start off with my eye makeup so that I can sweep up any fallout. This palette is fun because you can do a fun smoky eye, you can play with reds, or you can do more of a rose gold look. I use the Mally shadowstick to outline my crease, then use the dark brown, red, and glittery light pink shadows.
eyeliner: Art-ki-tekt Waterproof Slimliner
I follow that up with eyeliner on my top lashline only. This one can get a bit smudgy throughout the day, but I love the super thin lines it creates.
foundation: IT Cosmetics Confidence in a Compact (Fair)
I love this foundation because it provides just enough coverage and has SPF 50+. I apply it all over my face with a brush, but if I’m in a huge hurry, I use the sponge that comes in the compact.
concealer: Kat von D Lock-It Concealer Creme (Light 3) (c/o)
I received this in an Influenster box three years ago and just found it when I was packing. (I am the worst.) I typically use a NARS concealer, but this one is lighter and seemed a little more appropriate for this springy look. I use it under my eyes and to cover any blemishes, but my biggest trick is to apply it under my the hollows of my cheeks to create a contour without using bronzer. I go from the hollow beneath my cheekbones to my chin.
blush: au Naturale Anywhere Creme Multistick (Grapefruit)
This stuff is awesome. It is easy to apply and the pigment is buildable, which I love because it stops me from looking like a literal clown.
highlight: Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops (Sunlight)
This product isn’t as user-friendly as the au Naturale multistick, but it provides awesome results, nonetheless. I gently dab three drops on my cheekbone, then immediately blend back toward my hairline with my fingertips. You can also do this with a Beauty Blender, but I find that my fingers work just as well.
brows: BrowGal Instatint Eyebrow Gel
This brow gel is tinted and has little fibers in it, pretty much eliminating the need for a brow pencil. I start on the inside corners of my brows then work my way toward the arch and end of my brows. The gel is tinted, so don’t be afraid to wiggle the applicator a little extra in areas that the hair is sparse.
mascara: L’Oreal Lash Paradise primer and mascara
This mascara is the closest I’ve ever gotten to the results I had with my lash extensions. I apply the primer to my lashes, give it about 10 seconds to get tacky, then apply another two coats of the actual mascara. (Cost saving tip – keep an eye out for this set around the holidays and buy one, get one free sales at Ulta.)
lips: Osmosis Skincare Lip Intensive (Find Me) (c/o)
This is the product that inspired this look! I’m usually pretty basic when it comes to lip color, but I was gifted a bold red, pretty pink, and fun coral from Osmosis and the colors have inspired me to spice up my makeup routine a bit.
I like this lip color because it’s long lasting and doesn’t dry my lips out, and I appreciate that I can reapply without any major fuss. (That’s where a lot of lip products become a deal breaker for me!) It also doesn’t require a lip liner.
Simple enough, right?! Do you change up your beauty routine by the season? If so, what are your spring beauty favorites?
You are the cutest! Have you tried the Revitalash serum? I’ve been using it and my lashes are way longer and thicker. That plus the MIlk Kush Mascara!
