Happy Monday, y’all! I know there is a lot of content out there about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I’ve been careful not to go overboard with NSale content, and today I’m excited to share with you what I purchased from the sale. I’m doing a post like this because I love when other bloggers do them. I don’t live near a Nordstrom, so I rely on posts by other bloggers to get a better feel for items – how they’re sized, what the fabric looks like, how to style them, etc.
I purchased five pieces (four are pictured), and I chose to pair them with items that I owned prior to the sale. I applaud the people who purchase entire wardrobes during the sale, but that doesn’t work with my budget. I like finding a few pieces that update my look a bit and go with the things that I already have.
For sizing reference, I’m 5’4″ with a long torso and short legs. I’m usually an XS or a Small in tops; I always check the sizing guide. Also, you might notice that the tags are still on the pieces. That’s because I hadn’t decided what I was keeping and what I was returning, and I knew these pictures would help me make up my mind!
I’ve been on the hunt for a moto jacket, so I was tickled to see so many in the NSale! I’m still really undecided about this jacket. I love the way that it looks, and the faux leather is extremely soft. However, the sizing is a little off. I ordered a small because I knew there was no way my shoulders would fit into an XS jacket. It fits nicely in the shoulder, but it’s too big and boxy in the arms, ribs, and waist.
I ordered this in an XS, because reviews said that it ran large and to size down. I probably could have gotten away with an XXS for the first time in my life, because it’s still kind of baggy. Despite being a little bit baggier than I would prefer, I love the color of this sweater, and it is so cozy. Definitely a keeper!
I scooped up these boots because they’re $75 off right now. I’m so weird about splurging on myself, but I knew that these boots would go with sooo many things. I can’t wait to pair these with fun dresses, dark denim, and even leggings.
These boots are comfortable with a manageable heel and run true to size. I’m wearing a 7.5.
I thought this dress would be great for work. However, if you look closely at the top, the black trim is see through. It’s not a true wrap dress; it’s a dress with a v-neck that has a belt around it like a robe. The v-neck is tacked and it’s in a really awkward place. However, the dress is very pretty, and I think that I will probably keep it and just use an alteration credit it on it.
Size wise, this runs true to size. I’m usually a 0, and this is a 2, which explains why it’s not fitting me quite right.
Have you shopped the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale yet? What did you get?!
