Happy Monday, y’all! I know that a lot of bloggers are transitioning into fall fashion, but where I live, we’re still in the dog days of summer, and that’s just not going to happen yet! I’m kind of glad that the weather is so warm… It means I’ll get to wear this pretty little caftan again before Labor Day!
This weekend, the young professionals board that I sit on held a Polynesian themed event, and this is the exact look that I went with. I had no idea just how easy caftans were because this is the only one that I own, but now I’m ready to stock my closet with them. Despite the length of the sleeves, I stayed cool sitting outside and working the registration table.
In other news, you may have noticed that my eyelashes are going a little crazy right now. (I’ve received some negative feedback regarding their appearance, to which I reply with please get a life.) I’ve decided to let my eyelash extensions go, and I’ve got a few stragglers that just won’t give up. I’ll have a full post up about my experience with lash extensions soon, but in the meantime, just bare with me as I grow these babies out.
Also, a huge shout out to my aunt for taking this set of blog photos for me in her slice of paradise back yard. (The gorgeous blue pool that you see in some of my Instagram photos is also hers!) My aunt actually gave me the DSLR I shoot with as a graduation present, and she is the official photographer of all family events, so it was so fun to shoot with her!
What did you get into this weekend? And is your style focused more on summer or fall right now?
