Now that I’ve gotten my last summer fashion blog post behind me, I’m ready to start playing with some fall transition looks. Fall will (hopefully, fingers crossed, saying prayers) be here before we know it, and I couldn’t be more ready for cooler temperatures and college football.
Today I’m styling two of my favorite pieces for fall – my overalls and my JORD wood watch. What I love about both of these pieces is that they’re equal parts versatile and statement piece. My JORD watch adds a little extra punch to this super casual outfit, but it would also look great paired with a flowy boho dress and some booties.
I found these overalls at Von Maur when I was in Detroit. I had been wanting to add a pair of overalls to my wardrobe, but I was afraid of looking dumpy because of my body type (short legs & long torso.) This is a great “starter pair” of overalls if you’re looking to add a pair to your wardrobe because of the dark denim and skinny jean fit. (They’re also on sale for $33!) They don’t come cuffed at the ankles, but I’m short so I cuff most jeans.
One of the reasons I’ve been so excited about this post is that JORD has offered to give a $75 gift card to one of my readers and $20 coupons to everyone else who enters! Before I give you giveaway details, I want to tell you a few more things I love about this watch, besides the versatility, just in case you aren’t sold! 😉
I wasn’t sure what the quality would be like for a wood watch, because my only watch experiences have been digital watches in middle school and then metal watches in the post-grad world. My JORD watch is impeccably made. I’m rough on my watches, but so far this one has hung right in there with me!
But the thing that sets it over the top and is truly why I will be a repeat JORD customer is that the watches are custom sized. Watches are difficult for me to buy because I have a tiny, baby wrist, but these come custom sized You print out a paper ruler, measure, and then you’re done! The whole process took less than five minutes, and as you see in the photos, my watch fits perfectly!
Enough (actually way too much) about me… I want to hear from you! What are your favorites for fall transition looks?
