Happy Friday friends! I’m sure that you know that Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is going on right now, and that it’s been open to the public for the past week. Real talk – I ended up ordering one pair of shoes. I have been wearing them so frequently that I’m highly considering ordering them in merlot for fall and winter.
I’ve decided to tailor this week’s Favorites Under $50 specifically to the NSale! On my last NSale post, y’all expressed that you liked that it was budget friendly. So I’m running with that! Here are some pieces under $50 that I think you’ll like and some explanation on why they made the list!
Sleeveless Woven Shirtdress ($37.90) • I thought this was cute when I saw it as a dress, especially styled with booties. But then I saw it worn as a vest over faded jeans and a cute white top, and I was sold. It looked like a completely different piece, and those are the kind of pieces that it’s beneficial to have in your wardrobe!
Straight Leg Suit Pants ($49.90) • If you’re building a professional wardrobe, go ahead and buy these. I know they aren’t sexy or fun, but sometimes you just need a pair of basic, well-fitting suit pants. (And when that time comes, they’ll be impossible to find because that’s just how the world works, so do yourself a favor and snag these.)
Bell Sleeve Shift Dress ($31.90) • I don’t have many “going out pieces,” so I plan on scooping this up for that reason. It’s fun but not revealing, and I won’t feel like such a grandma at the bar or grabbing drinks with friends on Friday evenings.
Long Sleeve Contrast Bow Blouse ($37.90) • This was one of the items that I originally tried to purchase, but in white. I think it’s super cute to wear to the office during the week, but that could also be paired with dark skinny jeans on weekends.
Moonlight Pajamas ($39.90) • If you haven’t already, buy at least one matching pajama set. I’m lame and wear them all of the time when it’s cold outside since I sleep with a fan on even when it’s snowing, but they’re really great to have when you’re traveling and spending the night at a home that isn’t yours.
Faux Leather Drawstring Tote ($35.90) • This bag is large enough to double as a briefcase or a laptop bag! I have faux leather tote from Nordstrom, and the material is amazing because if it gets dirty, you can just take a makeup wipe or a baby wipe to it!
Fringed Striped Poncho ($45.90) • This looks so cozy! Having so many different colored stripes makes it super versatile.
Alex & Ani Tassel Coil Bracelet ($37.90) • $40 can be a little steep for a bracelet if you’re on a tight budget, but the cost per wear on this piece is going to be unreal!
Wool Floppy Hat ($19.90) • I live in floppy hats in the fall and winter because (1) they add this little touch of glamour to any outfit and (2) my hair gets oily at the roots, but you can’t see that if I’m wearing a hat!
Voluspa Mini Tin Candle Trio ($15.90) • Not only do these candles smell absolutely amazing, the tins are gorgeous! (Aka great prop for a blog photo ;))
Turkish Towel ($21.90) • In the winter and the cooler parts of fall, I keep a blanket scarf with me for chilly car rides, flights, movies, etc. This is a great alternative for those hot summer and fall days when you’re in an over air conditioned environment! I’ve also seen people take these to the beach (#jealous, no beach for me this year), and I think that’s such a cute idea!
Wine and Cheese Tote ($39.90) • This probably seems like the most unnecessary thing in the world, but I have a few proposed ideas for it – weekends at a lake house (#boozecruise #drinkresponsibly), going on a picnic date and pretending that you are on The Bachelorette, gifting it to someone who has everything.
Bar Tool Set ($37.90) • If you’re planning on getting a bar cart, snag this while you can! I have a similar set for my bar area and having the entire set looks more authentic than just having a shaker. (PS – also a great gift for the cocktail aficionado!)
Happy shopping and happy weekend, friends! Have you picked up anything from the NSale yet?
By the way, thanks for all of the heartfelt comments and emails about yesterday’s blog post. I am so grateful for y’all.
