I don’t know about y’all, but I spend more time outdoors in the fall than I do in the summer! I like to explore the changing leaves and take advantage of cooler temperatures. I’m usually on top of protecting my skin from the sun in the summer, but in the fall I slack off a little bit. Here are some helpful hints to prevent getting sunburned next time you take a hike to check out the foliage or spend the day outside at an Oktoberfest event!
Sunscreen || This one is a no brainer, but I’m super guilty of skipping out on the sunscreen and then spending an hour with my arms and legs exposed at the Farmer’s Market. In the summer, I tend to use spray sunscreen, but I go with a sunscreen lotion in the fall. (PS – I wear this foundation with sunscreen, and I absolutely love it!)
Long Sleeves || If I’m going for a hike or a long walk with Franny on a cooler day, I try to stick with long sleeves. I especially love this tunic because it is SPF 50! (PS – You can also get SPF pants!)
Other SPF Products || I was recently gifted OZ Naturals Tinted Moisturizer with 30 SPF Sunscreen. It’s a broad spectrum tinted sunscreen with Zinc Oxide. I personally love it as makeup – it’s great on your face or even on your body. (I wish I would have had it when I shot blog photos in a bikini!) But I recommend applying it only once, use it sparingly, and then use other sunscreens for touch-ups. The tinted formula got a little messy when I tried to reapply.
I’ve linked all of the products listed for you in case you need to stock up on SPF essentials:

Also – I’ve been battling major writers block lately. If there’s anything you’d like to see on here, please give me a shout!
