I revealed my new rebranding Monday, but I wanted to dedicate an entire post to it because I didn’t do it alone, and I need to say thank you!
Thanks to everyone who takes the time to stop by my little corner of the internet. And a big thank you to everyone who took my branding survey! (I’ll be announcing a winner on the 15th aka my pay day. #bloggingonabudget) I really took your feedback to heart.
I’m extremely grateful for my friend Annie from Annie Belle blog, whom I met through Millennial Blogger Network. Annie did all of my design work, and she was a pleasure to work with. I gave Annie very little direction with what I wanted and the info that I had pulled from the survey that y’all wanted, and she made a masterpiece for me that captured the exact feel that I was going for. I work with graphic designers a lot with my job, and Annie’s patience and turn around time is like nothing I’ve ever experienced… and I mean that in a good way! (I think that Annie is part saint and part mind reader.) I love that with Annie there were no secrets – she was happy to share with me the exact fonts and colors that she used so that I could continue the branding that she created for me. So if you need someone, hit her up! I can put y’all in touch if you’d like, or you can contact her via her blog!
(PS – Check out her Instagram while you’re at it. #goals)
I still have some minor design work to do (about section on my home page, social media icons, new Facebook header), so it would probably have made sense in most people’s minds to wait on the reveal. However, I want y’all’s feedback in making this the best blog possible. So if you have suggestions or see something that I’m missing, hit me up! (seersuckersass(at)gmail(dot)com)
Also – something that is really exciting for me in this rebranding is that I’ve been working to become proficient in Photoshop and Illustrator. (Shout out to my super patient boyfriend for teaching me!) I became really comfortable in using PowerPoint, but I’m super excited to be learning new things. I feel so accomplished when I make a graphic or make a photo with questionable lighting look pretty!
In last week’s post, I shared with y’all that as part of my rebrand, I hope to share more about my faith with y’all on here. The circumstances in my life haven’t changed, but I have started to make prayer a priority. Each night, I go to bed early enough to block off at least seven minutes for a solid prayer – to recognize what a powerful God we have, to give thanks, to repent, and to ask for grace and protection for those who need it or who have requested it. It’s so easy to lay down and play with my phone for ten minutes before bed or fall asleep with Netflix on before saying my prayers. The verse that is really sticking out to me right now is 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18. Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Jesus Christ for you.
One last thing – I’ve expanded to new forms of social media – Snapchat and Periscope! My username on everything is seersuckersass, and I’d love to connect with you!
Happy Wednesday, y’all!
