I want to introduce y’all to one of my favorite people in the world – my friend and sorority sister Calleigh. Calleigh is one of the most intelligent, most hilarious, and most beautiful women I’ve ever met in my life. And bonus points – she makes a mean sangria. When we went to the beach, Calleigh made the yummiest sangria I’ve ever had. She was kind enough to let me share her personal recipe in case any of y’all are looking for something delicious and surprisingly simple for “Thirsty Thursday!”
What you’ll need:
- A bottle of red wine (she recommends Bootleggers Homegrown Strawberry Wine)
- A 2 Liter of Sprite
- Blackberry Brandy
- Frozen Berries
- Ice
- A pitcher
- Cute tumblers to pour your drinks into 😉
Step One: Fill your adorable tumblers with ice. (We brought our supplies to the beach, and we actually used ice in the tumblers as a way to keep our berries and Sprite cold!)
Step Two: Pour the entire bag of frozen berries into the pitcher.
Step Three: Pour your entire bottle of wine into the pitcher.
Step Four: Pour half of a bottle of blackberry brandy into the pitcher.
Step Five: Pour the entire 2-liter of Sprite into the pitcher.
Step Six: Shake, shake, shake, then pour, pour, pour!
Enjoy!
Happy Thirsty Thursday to those of y’all 21+! (If not, just hang on to this until then… I promise, it’s worth it!) And a big thank you to Calleigh for allowing me to share this recipe!
On a side note, if you’re of age and you’re ever in Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg, Tennessee, you’ve got to stop by Bootlegger’s! The atmosphere is fun, and the wine is good. (My aunt buys me a few bottles for every holiday!)
