I hate my pores. I have a major skin care routine with four serums, do some kind of mask or treatment at least once a week, and even do weekly extractions on myself with an extraction tool. So why aren’t my pores pretty yet?!
I jumped at the chance to try Adovia Purifying Dead Sea Mud Mask, because it is supposed to remove toxins, excess oil, and all of the fun stuff that clogs your pores. The mask is made up of minerals from Dead Sea Mud, Vitamin C, Aloe Vera gel, Jojoba Oil, and Ginseng. Unlike a lot of other mud masks, this one comes ready to use… no mixing!
When I went to squirt out the mask, it came out of the tube very firm (almost solid) and squirted out slowly. But when I applied it, the mask went on easily and smoothly. It only requires a thin layer, and the appropriate amount of product necessary would be a dollop about the size of a half dollar.
Unlike other masks that I have tried, I really like that I can still move my face while the mask is on. I love that it’s unscented, because I can’t imagine having something that doesn’t smell so nice sitting under my nose for 20 minutes!
One thing that you need to know about this mask is that it’s a commitment. It takes about 5 minutes for application, needs to sit 10-20 minutes, and takes about 8 minutes to remove! If you’re looking for a quick fix, this probably isn’t it. But in my opinion, it is definitely worth the time investment.
My results? My crater pores now look like little pinhead pores 🙂 My skin is so much softer. My acne has cystic tendencies, so I was really pleased that it drew the pimple on my chin up to the surface.
The takeaway? This product is awesome.
Do you give yourself skin care treatments frequently? And did you really wear a face mask if you didn’t take a silly selfie? 😉
Happy Thursday, y’all!
