I recently read an article titled “10 Things Every Fashionable Woman Should Have by 30.” One thing that I noticed I was nowhere close to having was a signature scent! I never really wore perfume growing up, as my mom is allergic to most scents. However, so many of my childhood memories are related to scents. Sometimes I catch a whiff of Chanel No. 5, and I’m immediately reminded of my very Italian great grandmother, a woman who believed that your hair could never be teased high enough and who would scold my grandmother for disciplining me. Jovan Musk will forever remind me of getting ready for school every morning with my mom. She would spray herself right before walking out of the bathroom, and sometimes, if I was lucky, she would give me a little spray of it too. I spent all day feeling like a “grown up!”
Here’s where Scentbird comes in. Scentbird is a scent subscription service. Like most subscription services, you take a survey so that they can get to know your personality, likes and dislikes, etc. You can also choose perfumes that you would like to try. Each month, you’ll receive a (very generous) 30-day supply of a scent. Your first month, you receive a little black tube along with your monthly supply of perfume; hang on to this! The following months, you will just pop your scent into this tube! Easy enough, right?!
Here are my thoughts on ScentBird:
First of all, I was tickled at how cute their packaging was when it arrived. The photo does not do it justice.
After opening the package, I realized that cuteness did not end there! I loved the cute little cards, especially the one that explains how to use the product and how to replace the vials. (Super simple, but it always helps to read the instructions!) The perfume case comes in a little black bag, which I think is wonderful – no more accidental spritzing of something in my purse.
I have to tell y’all, when I saw this card, I got a little freaked out. I had ordered See by Chloe, because the site said it was great for the office & blended masculine and feminine notes. When I sprayed it, it was not what I was expecting, and I thought that I had gotten the “perfume of the month.” It turns out that See by Chloe probably isn’t the most perfect scent for me, but I’m glad I found it out before I purchased a full sized bottle!
See is not a very overwhelming scent, so I like to spray it on my neck and on my wrist.
Isn’t it so cute & miniature? 🙂
I cannot wait to get next month’s scent! I have been looking to find the perfect subscription service for me, and I really think Scentbird is it, especially while I’m on the hunt for that perfect signature scent.
Have you ever tried Scentbird before? Is it something you would be interested in? What is your signature scent?
