I will be the first to admit, I’ve never been much of a shoe girl. I have realized that no matter how many pairs of shoes I have, I will gravitate toward the same few pairs all season. In the summer, I wear my Jacks out. I have really been trying to look more professional at work, and I broke down and started wearing heels at least three times a week. This became an issue because I only had two pairs of heels I was wearing – a black Jessica Simpson wedge that I bought when I was 17 & a taupe, peep-toe Jessica Simpson wedge.
This weekend, I went to Dillard’s hell bent on purchasing these adorable Antonio Melani heels. However, they looked HORRIBLE on my skin. And I felt like I looked like an ostrich in them.
After prowling around the store for over an hour, I ended up leaving with these Isola beauties. I love the tortoise shell-esque pattern, and I think the chunky heel is kind of fun.
My next purchase? These Vince Camuto sling backs! If it had been in my budget, I would have purchased them the day of. Sadly, I will have to wait until next pay check, but I am already dreaming up all of the ways that I can wear them.
Also, I just want to give a big shout out to Pierson in the shoe department of the Dillard’s in Knoxville’s West Towne Mall. I have honestly been wearing the wrong shoe size for my entire life, and I didn’t know that until he explained that to me and what I should look for in a shoe. He is amazing at what he does.
What about y’all – are you a shoe girl? What shoes are at the top of your list for fall?
