I’ve grown up around Bristol Motor Speedway, and for as long as I can remember, NASCAR has been a part of the area’s culture, as well as my family’s culture. Every year there are two NASCAR races at the Speedway, and the fall race is this weekend! Last year I volunteered at the race for a non-profit (…never again.) and this year I am actually working for a promotional company at an event. (I am actually doing that as you read this… Pray for me.)
If you’ve never been to a NASCAR race before, you are going to see a little bit of everything. I know all of my friends in college would use it as an excuse to break out boots, denim, camo, flag themed items, beer brand items… you name it! If you’ve never been to a Bristol race before, here are some outfit ideas.
You will basically be in a sea of denim. If you want to follow along with the denim trend, try this adorable dress! You could even wear it with some cute Ked like shoes. It seems lightweight, which is important because it gets HOT.
If you want more of an “authentic” look, here ya go. I can just about guarantee that you’ll get compliments on your tank. (Also, check out this NASCAR tank.)
If option one seems too formal and option two seems a little too informal for your liking, this t-shirt dress from Lou & Grey is a great middle ground!
When dressing for a race, comfort and coolness are key. You will do a lot of walking and moving, and it will be pretty hot!
Are any of y’all heading to the Bristol races this year?
Note: I do not own any of the photos in this post; however, I have linked them back to their appropriate sources. Please remember to do the same if you choose to use them.
