This review is brought to you by a partnership with Influenster. I received the following items for free, but all opinions are my own.
If you’ve never heard of Influenster before, it’s a super cool site where you review items and take surveys to earn badges. As your “influence” goes up, you’re considered for Vox Boxes – boxes full of surprise goodies! You then are to review the goodies, blog about them, do social media tasks, etc. It’s a pretty cool website, and if you’re interested in getting involved, I will be glad to send you an email invite! (It will help both of our scores!) With that being said, here are my reviews for the items that were included in my #VowVoxBox!
I had never really used any Sally Hansen polishes before, aside from base and top coats. (Both of which I found to be extremely disappointing, but that’s a different story.) The “Barracuda” shade is seriously the perfect shade of Tiffany blue. I needed a little something to keep my nails looking good for a few days before having a manicure for a wedding. Let me tell you – this polish was great for four days! It barely chipped around the edges, which says a lot since I’m pretty rough on my nails and constantly typing. Retail is $7.99, and I think that’s pretty fair since the quality seems to be up to par with Essie.
In all honesty, I’m pretty skeptical about the things that I will put on my face. I tried out a skin care system for the blog, and my face burned for two weeks. Since my skin was finally calming down from that little mishap, I hesitantly gave this a try. I love it. I started using it three weeks ago, and there is definitely a difference in my skin to the point that I no longer feel the need to wear high coverage foundation. I actually look forward to moisturizing at night, the smell is pleasant, and it only takes a little bit. Retail is listed at $30.99, but I’ve seen it much cheaper on the internet.
I have a coupon for 50% off of a wedding website. I’m not getting married any time soon, so the first person to email me for it is welcome to it!
Shaving my legs is not my favorite activity by any means. My legs are prone to getting ingrown hairs, and I have to awkwardly twist my body around because I’m terrified of cutting my knee up. I like this shaving cream because it makes shaving my legs a little more luxurious. It smells nice, it’s soft, and I feel like it makes me legs soft, as well. The best part? It’s super cheap! Depending on the size, it’s between $1.49 – $2.18.
EcoTools Pure Complexion Sponge
This sponge is unique because before use, it feels like a pumice stone – it’s rough and hard. However, once you get it wet, it feels very plastic. The purpose of the sponge is supposed to be to remove makeup with the help of a gentle cleanser; however, I ended up having to use a makeup removing wipe before and after using the sponge, which I felt just defeated the whole purpose. It retails at $5.99.
If you’ve never tried one of these, you’re missing out. Within days of receiving this, I had already used it to clean salad dressing off of my dress, coffee off of my mom’s shirt, and chocolate off of my boyfriend. If you’re messy like I am (or surrounded by messy people,) these babies are a necessity. Retails at $7.99 for a pack of three.
Have you tried any of these products before? Hope everyone had a great long weekend!
