Here in the South, I feel like it continues to get a little hotter every day. This causes lots of dressing dilemmas, as it’s super hot outside with the AC on full blast inside! Since I’m participating in Raise.com‘s Closet Swap summer style campaign, I thought it might be fun to share with you three of my quintessential summer looks!
*Side note: I took these photos yesterday after having an infusion and while on Benadryl. So please excuse the fact that I look slightly swollen and glassy eyed.
During the summer, if I’m not at work or actually going somewhere, I dress wayyy down. I live in colorful t-shirts and a combination of yoga pants and running shorts. I think I’ve worn tennis shoes more this summer than I have in my entire life.

My go-to “casual outfit” is a pair of fun shorts or skirt from J. Crew and a basic knit top. I wear this top quite frequently during the spring/summer/fall. It goes with sooo many pieces that nothing else seems to match.

When it comes to a formal event, I like to go with a printed maxi dress. I think that it helps me to stand out amongst a sea of dresses that are just a little too short. I also feel like there’s a sort of “regal-ness” to floor length dresses.

Want to know a trick on how to get these outfits at a discount or make a little extra cash to buy them? Raise.com is a website that gives you an opportunity to sell unwanted gift cards or buy gift cards that others want to sell. (Great concept, right?!) They have lots of popular brands – Gap, Banana Republic, J. Crew, Express… you name it! I’m pretty excited to try their site out! And you best believe that I keep checking back for a Lilly Pulitzer giftcard to pop up… Bidding war anyone?!
So what do y’all think about my summer outfits?
And will you be trying out Raise.com? (I know that I will be!)
