Happy Monday! I hope that y’all had a wonderful weekend, and that your Monday is off to a great start! In case anyone was curious what I did this weekend, here is my “weekend recap.”
Friday started off with me driving the 5 hours to Cincinnati to see my boyfriend! Thankfully, the weather was perfect for driving, and I didn’t spend the whole time wondering why I had put myself through that torture. We met up at the mall, and I bought these beauties that I had been eying, as well as a Pandora charm for my stepmom’s Mother’s Day gift! I love this charm because she is originally from Mexico, and it says “mom” in different languages, including Spanish.
We also had yummy burgers and drinks at Red Robin to kick off my “vacation!” [I’m not much of a day drinker, but Sand in Your Shorts is amazing if you’re looking for something fruity.] After spending the afternoon being lazy together, we had dinner at a local Mexican restaurant, where they served beer in these cute little cowboy boot mugs. Wouldn’t these be fun with crazy Fiesta dishes for having friends over for Mexican food?!
Saturday was super exciting because my dad and stepmom came down from Indy to have lunch with C & I! I was especially excited to see my stepmom, because I’m pretty sure the last time that I saw her was three years ago! (She & my dad do a lot of international traveling with work, and it seems as if we are never on the same schedule!)
If you’ve never been to Hyde Park in Cincinnati, I highly encourage you to check it out! I don’t know if I’ll ever love a place more than I love the South, but Hyde Park is a quaint little area full of yummy food and fun boutiques. We ended up having lunch at Cock & Bull, and then exploring the shops.
I have never really understood the hype surrounding Lululemon, but after Carly from Chicago Prepster said so many nice things about them, I really wanted to try them out! My stepmom was sweet enough to buy me a pair of their leggings and a yoga mat! Aside from the weird sizing, (I went up two sizes) the pants are super comfy with lots of fun details. (And also from the clearance rack, which is why there’s no picture… Shameless 😉 )
After spending the afternoon with my family, we spent the evening with C’s family. They have a beautiful backyard, and it doesn’t hurt that it overlooks a golf course. So serene and peaceful.
Easter Sunday was a lazy one. I had breakfast with C’s family, and then took a little nap to prepare myself for the long drive home. Home was an absolutely crazy mess when I got there. But on a positive note, my mom has a cell phone again, so I actually feel okay with being away from home.
What did you get into this weekend? I’d love to hear your “weekend recap!” If you blogged about it, be sure to post the link in my comments, and I’ll link it on my recap! Happy Monday 🙂
