If you follow me on twitter, you may know that my life has been a bit of a rollercoaster the past few weeks, but this week especially. I think that there is often this misconception that bloggers live perfect lives and have it all together, which is why I feel like it’s very important for me to be honest with you all.
This week, I have witnessed how untreated mental illness can lead to violence and affect a family. I’ve also gained a newfound respect for police officers. I’ve experienced true friendship – friends who don’t just say “are you okay?” but that ask questions, try to understand what’s going on, and offer what they can to help. I’ve fallen even more in love with my boyfriend; he has made it his goal to keep a smile on my face when all I want to do is lock myself in my room until everything feels normal again. And I’ve felt the love of twitter friends and blog friends, who pray when I ask for prayer. You all remind me that the heart of life is good.
Please pardon the lack of consistency on my blog and twitter, as I process my thoughts. And please keep my family in your prayers as we heal.
