There are moments throughout my day where I stop what I’m doing and realize how encouraging the people around me are, and I thank God for putting them in my life.
A few days ago, I was working through a pile of papers on my desk, when I realized just how much creative freedom my boss had given me on some upcoming projects. She was giving me a chance to create things, to put my own touch on things, and in return she provided some minor suggestions, but mainly compliments! I don’t have much experience with press releases or flyers, but she has given so much positive feedback that I really feel like I’m succeeding. Because of her encouragement, I speak my ideas more freely. I work harder now. I’m not afraid to play with different programs or templates. Most importantly, her encouraging nature rubs off on me and inspires me to be more encouraging to those around me.
Whenever I need a little bit of encouragement in my life, Kid President is my go-to pick me up. If you’ve never seen one of his videos, here is his newest one. You’ll regret skipping over it!
(PS put it in full screen for a better experience… I don’t know how to resize the video!)
I know Mondays are rough, but why not show someone a little bit of encouragement and help get their week off to a positive start! Tell your PR chair how good her flyer looks, thank your momma for such a delicious meal, or sit and genuinely listen to a good friend that’s dealing with a lot. You may just add a little pep to their step!
Hope you all are hanging in there on this dreary Monday!
