With Valentine's Day just around the corner, I thought it would be nice to introduce my boyfriend to y'all and pay tribute to him. By his choosing, I have kept pretty mum about him on the blog. But 2016 is a new year, and he's warming up to making a few guest appearances :)
Here are five things I want you to know about "the boyfriend behind the blog", who I will lovingly refer to as C!
1. He is my official blog photographer and content strategist.
C has an arts background, which I am soooo thankful for because he totally understands how to take photos, and I am struggling to learn. What I really appreciate about his photography lessons is that he encourages me to take photos that aren't just aesthetically pleasing, but also make sense. C helps me strategize my content, as well, and helps me to fully develop a brand that I'm proud of. He has the patience of a saint when it comes to my blog.
2. He dresses better than I do.
Seriously, it is so unfair. My old co-workers used to jokingly ask me if C picked out my clothes for me. (The correct answer is sometimes! Haha. I've also been known to steal clothes from his side of the closet for a men's wear look.) And don't even get me started on his hair... I am convinced that our future children will have gorgeous manes.
3. He is so smart.
C has a finance background, and he blows my mind. He'll talk about annuities and stocks, and I just look like the wide-eyed emoji because my mind is blown. I cannot wrap my mind around the fact that he is so gifted with arts and with numbers.
4. He is the best doggy daddy.
Francis is his girl. If the two of us are home, she pays very little attention to me and will often fight me for his attention. They are best buds, and it is so sweet.
5. His spontaneity keeps me smiling.
I'm very much a slave to my calendar. I feel the need to pre-plan everything. C is much more spontaneous. After Lilly for Target was such a bust, he decided we should venture to the nearest Lilly store... two hours away. (read more here.) We were bored on a Sunday morning, so he drove us two hours away to the zoo! #happiestdayofmylife Another boring Sunday, we visited every grocery store in a thirty mile radius to find supplies to make authentic lo mein.
What I'm most thankful for is that I've found someone who supports me in all of my endeavors - blogging, work, community involvement, and lots of failed craft projects.
I hope that this weekend is full of love for everyone! Remember - love isn't confined to a significant other! Happy Friday :)
PS - Thanks for your patience with my camera phone photos! I'm hoping to have my laptop back next week, and all of my photos are just hanging out on there until then!
