I love trying new beauty products! Luckily, my momma knows this and put some new beauty products into my Christmas stocking. I've also picked up a few things here or there and received some fun things in the mail, so I thought I'd do a roundup of the eight health and beauty products that I've been trying out lately! I've linked to everything in case you want to check it out online, but all of these products can be found at a drugstore or at Target!
Cetaphil Oil Control Foam Wash • If you haven't heard the horror story, I had a breakout, and when I attempted to treat the breakout, I had an allergic reaction to a product that I used. I had no idea what caused it or if it was a combination of products, so I went back to the basics. I've had really good results with this wash, and I love that it's for oily skin. I don't like that it doesn't come in smaller bottles.
Cetaphil Oil Control Moisturizer • This is the moisturizer that goes with the above cleanser. I'm not in love with it, as the consistency and scent is identical to sunscreen, but it works well.
Crest Whitestrips (Classic) • These are awesome! I used to use them religiously in high school, and I've noticed a need for them lately due to my over-the-top iced coffee and Diet Coke consumption. I know there are others on the market, but I have been really pleased with the classic. I saw results after one use, which makes me extremely happy!
COVERGIRL Plumpify Mascara (c/o) • If you follow me on Snapchat (username is seersuckersass), you have seen the "before and after" pictures of this mascara! Ultimately, I wasn't in love with it. It didn't do much for me, and when I asked my boyfriend if he noticed a difference in my lashes, he commented that they looked weird. I've continued to use it to see if maybe I can get a better angle on the brush, but I probably won't re-purchase.
L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow, Shade 760 • I bought this in November for the Gangster Gala I attended. I went very old Hollywood with a twist, and this perfectly matched the feather hairpiece I wore. The eyeshadow is gorgeous on, and I've since rocked it with LBDs. The only downside to me is that it's kind of messy. Mine cracked and got everywhere, and since it's super pigmented, I scrubbed my bathroom with a makeup removing wipe! Haha.
Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer in Apricot • I love wearing this on days that I don't wear much makeup. It's neutral, it's moisturizing, and it has just a hint of shimmer. I hope to pick this up in a few more colors!
COVERGIRL Oh Sugar! in Sprinkle (c/o) • This stuff is amazing. It's vitamin infused, super moisturizing, and the color is nice and pigmented. (I was shocked at how pigmented it is for a balm!) In the winter, I often feel like I have to alternate between lipstick and Carmex, but this is seriously the best of both worlds!
Have you tried any drugstore beauty products lately? Were they a hit or a miss?
