I usually save all Francis related posts for Franny Fridays, but I'm way too excited about this post to wait that long! This weekend, Francis and I took a little trip to the local dog park. Because of Daylight Saving Time, it's usually almost dark when I get home from work. This has put a damper on our super long walks, so the dog park has been our saving grace on weekends... There is nothing quite like a beagle with too much pent up energy!
Francis and I enjoy pretty much any opportunity to be festive, and this trip to the dog park is no exception. She wore her brand new (and much too small) sweater that I picked up for $3 from Bullseye's Playground, formerly known as Target's Dollar Spot. I wore my Resuce tee from Fur & Collar! If you're unfamiliar with Fur & Collar, they carry breed specific apparel for dog lovers. The t-shirts are a fun, non-cheesy way to show the world that you're obsessed with your dog! #noshame I love when my purchases support a good cause, and 50% of the profits from the "Rescue" t-shirt that I'm rocking go to pet adoption charities. Isn't it awesome when fashion allows you to wear your heart on your sleeve?! (PS - Isn't it equally awesome when fashion is comfy? These are soooo comfy.)
Did you notice the background in my photos? As bloggers, we're programmed to only shoot in pretty locations, and if there's a dumpster in the background of you photo, it's definitely a no go. However, I wanted to show y'all just how neat the dog park in my city is! We're going through a phase of urban renewal, and I'm loving it. This little patch of sod was planted in our downtown, surrounded by concrete, businesses, and parking lots. I feel so fortunate that we have somewhere like this that I can take Francis to let her off of her leash.
Also, Francis and I are currently battling it out over who is the "alpha female" of the apartment. She has slept in my spot in bed for the past week, refused to play with me at the dog park, and growled when I tried to take her sweater off before bed. #divadog
I'd love for you to tell me about your fur baby in the comments! Does Fur & Collar carry a shirt for your favorite breed? Happy Tuesday, y'all!
PS - As promised, here are the (unintentional) Hotline Bling photos... Somewhere, my hip hop dance teacher from middle school is shaking her head.
A big thank you to Fur & Collar for providing me with such a cute and comfortable t-shirt. All opinions are my own. Thanks for supporting brands that support Seersucker Sass!
I am cracking up about the alpha female bit.
ReplyDeleteWhen dogs get comfortable they tend to take over haha.
Y'all are so cute though.

Franny is precious!! I have rescued cats and it was by far one of my best decisions. Also - it looks like she is trying to stop the hotline bling madness saying, "mom, no!" in those last photos! haha .. love it!

Can't stop laughing at the Hotline Bling photos! Too funny! I love that there is a place where you can show off your obsession with you dog and support a good cause. I don't have a dog of my own, but I have a rescue back home (my mom's dog) that is just the apple of my eye!
ReplyDeleteShe is so cute!! The dog park looks like so much fun. How nice that your city keeps the dog park so neat and clean for everyone and their furry friends!

I love the dog park! Franny looks so cute and cozy in her little sweater. I wish Pierre wasn't terrified of all the other dogs haha.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a cute post! I always want to do a post with my cat, Cleo, but she has a very short attention span. Looks like you two had a great day at the dog park!
