Today's a really happy day in my little family - it's Franny's "Gotcha" Day! A year ago today, C and I welcomed a sometimes sweet, sometimes sassy little Beagle and Blue Heeler mix into our apartment and hearts.
Francis loves digging through the garbage, hiding potato chips throughout the apartment, and laying on the couch watching cable television. (She doesn't enjoy Netflix nearly as much.) She's surprisingly silent for a little beagle baby, and only howls when she needs food or a potty break. She's a 40 pound cuddle bug, and we're so glad that she's ours.
If you're considering adding a four legged family member, I highly recommend adopting. You can't put a price tag on happiness, but I'm a firm believer Franny is the best $100 I've ever spent. The highlight of my day is coming home, letting her out of her condo (aka the crate that has a quarter of the square footage of my apartment), and opening the bedroom door so that she can roll around on the bed.
It's hard to tell who rescued who.
Do you have any animal family members? I would love to hear about them!
