Recent Beauty Favorites

Confession:  I'm a beauty product junkie.  It has only gotten worse since I've started blogging.  (Don't ya love justifying your purchases with the fact that you'll review them?!)  Here are my recent favorites!

Balea Charcoal Nose Strips -  Awkward, but I can't find these things anywhere online.  I bought mine at TJ Maxx for $3, and I really like them!  My pores are just really gross, and I love that these make them much less gross.  Since I have no idea where to buy them again, I plan on trying these next!  They also use charcoal, and I've read some great reviews on them.

Benefit They're Real Remover - I've been having all sorts of drama with my eyelashes lately.  I started using a lash serum, which I love, but if I don't get all of the mascara off before application, it's like cement.  This stuff has been such a big help!

Benefit Roller Lash -  I have been wanting to try this for the longest time, so when my mom surprised me with this and the remover, I was tickled!  In my opinion, it lives up to the hype!  I usually prefer a really thick mascara applicator, but I think this one is good for getting my lashes separated and creating volume.

Revlon Colorburst Matte Lip Balm in Unapologetic -   This stuff is amazing.  I own a few of these, but this one has become my go to lipstick for the summer!  It looks red by the packaging, but it's actually a super pretty shade of coral.  (I'm wearing it in this post if you want to see it for yourself!)

Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat -  I have a love/hate relationship with gel nails, so I do my own nails a lot of the time.  I used to be super obsessed with a different top coat. but the lady at Sally's Beauty recommended this one to me, and I don't think I'll ever use another one.  (I used it as a top coat before bed, and my nails didn't have the usual "I went to bed with barely dry nails... Oops!" look when I woke up this morning.)  It dries super fast, and it leaves my nails with a glossy sheen.

Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub -   This is definitely the newest product in my overflowing collection!  I read lots of amazing reviews on this and wanted to check it out for myself, because my lipstick has a tendency to stain my lips.  It's only $10, so I couldn't bring myself to pay $6 in shipping on it... Luckily, my boyfriend was in Cincinnati at the time, and picked it up for me!  The instructions say to slough it on your lips, and the lick off the excess... I was so weirded out.   But then I used it, and I was so glad the instructions were to lick off the excess because it was yummy!  (I still feel weird admitting that...)  Even after removal, you still have the bubblegum taste on your lips.  I follow up with Vaseline Rosy Lips.

Are any of my favorites on your favorites list, as well?  Anything I left off that I need to try?

Happy Tuesday, y'all!  If you need me, I'll be watching the mailbox for my first RocksBox to show up!

XX,

SS

  29. I love the LUSH lip scrub. Anything from LUSH gets a big thumbs up from me :) the fact is, we bloggers must suffer for our trade. If it means spending all our money on stuff we really need to review, then so be it, it is a worthy sacrifice. Right? ;)

  34. I have the worst relationship with makeup remover. First off, for some reason makeup wipes really irritate my eyes so I've been using an oil-based eye makeup remover and then a makeup wipe on my face if I'm too lazy to wash it. LOVE Roller Lash and the Lip Scrub, but we've already talked about that ;) TOTALLY going to pick up that lip balm next time I see it!
