Review | InstaNatural Essential Oils

One of my favorite things about yoga class is that my old instructor used to come by and put oils on us during the class.  It definitely helped me to bring some of that zen feeling home with me.  Because of that, I jumped at the opportunity to review InstaNatural's Peppermint Essential Oil & Lemon Essential Oil.  Upon receiving them, I realized that I had gotten a little too excited... I don't have a diffuser.  Through trial and error (major #bloggerfail story,) though, I figured it out!

The oils smell wonderful!  If you ever need to trick someone into thinking that you apartment is super clean (i.e. me two weekends ago when my dad came to visit,) use the lemon oil in your diffuser.  It has that clean smell without being artificial.  As someone who is OCD and super hates germs, I love this stuff. The peppermint is also a really clean scent.  It's supposed to be refreshing, and it sure is!  Definitely good to put in your diffuser first thing in the morning when you're trying to perk yourself up for the day.

Here is the most important thing that I can tell you:  follow the directions.

Since I don't have a diffuser, I used a pot of water on my stove.  (My roommates used to do this in college, so I stole their trick.  Thanks K & K!)  Instead of waiting patiently, I continued to add drops to the boiling water.  10 minutes later, C, Franny, and I were opening all of the windows and turning on all of the fans, then sprinting out the door.  #bloggerfail  When the directions say dilute, they mean dilute.  I would recommend starting out with 2-3 drops in a diffuser or 5-6 drops in a pot of water, and then adding more if you need it.  Otherwise, you will be evacuating your apartment like we did.

All in all, these are great products!  (And I'm going to buy a diffuser!)

What do you think?  Something you'd like to try?

XX,

SS

A big thank you to InstaNatural for providing me with two oils in exchange for a honest review!  All opinions are my own.  :)
