Franny Friday

I know I have some new readers, so I wanted to take a moment to introduce you to my sweet (and mischievous!) doggy, Francis!  Once or twice a month, I dedicate a post to cute photos and funny stories about my favorite four legged friend :)

When my dad came into town a few weeks ago, he brought my camera with him,  C shot these funny photos waiting for me to get ready to take blog pictures!  I love that they catch Franny being herself - resting bitch face, taking over the bed, trying to be sneaky, and doing that weird back scratch thing where she thrashes about.

There are two things I like about snow - 1. It's a good backdrop for blog photos since all of the grass here is brown.  2.  Francis loves it.  She runs through it, climbs on the banks of snow, and sticks her little face it.  Sometimes she falls over in it, and it's the scariest/funniest thing.  She's also a pretty good sport when we throw snowballs at her!

Some of C's friends came through from Cincinnati for a wedding, so they got to meet sweet Franny girl!  She was being an absolute terror and wanted all of their attention.  I'm not sure which one she loves more - snow, food, or new friends.

The wildest thing she has done lately is get into her own antibiotics.  We keep a small bin full of stuff for her - her leash, potty bags, dog wipes, and her leftover medicine.  She knows treats are kept somewhere else and usually avoids it like the plague.  Somehow, she got into her antibiotics and ate two of them. #terrifying  When I got home from work on Wednesday night, C had just finished inducing her vomiting, as per the vet.  1. Why in the world did my dog, who hates medication at all costs, eat an antibiotic pill?  This is the animal that you end up wrestling to give medications because you gave her the pill wrapped in cheese three different times, and she eats the cheese & spits out the pill.  2. Why are other dog owners so mean?  C immediately called the vet, and then afterwards did some googling to see what to expect.  Instead of providing constructive help, people were berating dog owners for letting things like that happen to their dogs!  I couldn't believe it.  I was a mischievous little girl, and the doctors never berated my mother the multiple times I had to go to the ER!

Okay, stepping off of my soapbox now!  Haha.  I hope y'all have a very happy Friday! I know that I've had a lot of lifestyle content this week, but next week's content is going to be more fashion & beauty fun, so I hope you'll drop by!

Do you have a pet?!  I'd love to hear about them!

  18. Francis is adorable! What a cute idea to do a post on her every month. I sometimes post pictures of my dog, William. He is pretty crazy too! It's funny how dogs have such unique personalities!

  19. I'm so glad Fran is okay! I used to work at a vet's office and we would get calls of dogs eating all sorts of things (medicine included!) Just be thankful you've got a good vet that explained to you how to make her feel better :)
