Thirsty Thursday: Stock the Bar Cart

If you haven't noticed, I love Valentine's Day!  I don't do much decorating for Christmas, but I start decorating for Valentine's Day immediately after New Year's Day.  If you're having a get together for Valentine's Day or staying in for a date night, why not decorate on the small scale by decorating your bar cart?!

Bar Cart  | I live in a teeny tiny apartment that isn't set up properly for a bar cart, so I have a little "bar corner" on my counter top instead.  I plan to move into a two bedroom in the summer, and I hope to buy this one when that time comes!  It's the cheapest one I've been able to find, and also has a little guard around the top that I love.  #clumsygirlprobs

Floral Paper Straws | When I was the new girl at work, I had to do a fundraiser, so I did a tailgate one day at lunch.  I bought paper straws and that's the only time in my life I have ever used them.  I don't love them.  However, if you need a splash of color or a little oomph, buy some cheap ones, toss them in a mason jar or clear cylinder, and you are in business!

Heart Ice Mold | I'm a sucker for little details like shaped ice cubes.  When I see that someone has done something like that, I automatically think that they have their life put together.  (I know, I am ridiculous.)

Love Bug Cocktail Napkins | I always find the cutest little cocktail napkins at TJ Maxx, and LPS Designs has some adorable ones, as well!

Electric Corkscrew |  Whenever I "work" a work event, I usually volunteer to serve at the wine table.  (It's the most social spot in the room!  Haha.)  This little guy is my best friend.  I can't use a normal corkscrew to save my life, but these make opening wine SO easy.

Heart Bottle Stopper |  Isn't this just adorable?!

Tassel Garland | My tassel obsession is showing... I feel like this would be a fun backdrop or you could hook it on the front of the cart.  This one is a lot cheaper than the tassel garlands you see on Etsy, and Pinterest is full of tassel tutorials!

Monogrammed Ice Bucket |  When I get married, I am registering for one of these.  I think it looks so sharp and could be used for so much more than booze.

For the 21+ crowd, my "on theme" alcohol suggestions are Apothic Red, Makers Mark, and Three Olives Bubble.

What do you think?!  Happy Thirsty Thursday ;)
(or just Thursday if you're 2+ years post grad and have to work on Fridays like I do!)

XX,

SS

  4. I wish I had a bar cart too! Tiny apartments are the worst. I love the details you've included here- down to the ice cubes! Freeze some strawberries in there and it'll be perfect!

  6. That Target bar cart! I keep seeing it everywhere and I love it so much, but it's kind of hard to justify it when I have a full size bar in my apartment already. (So totally the opposite problem you have, I guess? Lol) I love how you styled this and I hope you get a chance to show it off once you move!

    1. I am so jealous! I have a little "bar corner" than my boyfriend has set up on the counter top, but it's just a few bottles of whiskey, a bottle of vodka, a little set of four glasses, and a shaker. Making do with what little space there is :) Haha

  7. Have you seen the Ikea Bar Cart hack on Pinterest? It's like 30 bucks and then you just spray paint the hardware gold. It's so cute! Just thought I'd let you know if you were interested in an even cheaper option.
