Getting to Know You... Third Time's a Charm!

This post continues to be one of my favorites!  In my opinion, one of the best things about blogging is being able to connect with other bloggers!  So here's another opportunity for that :)  Can't wait to read y'all's answers!

Just a reminder:  you can answer as few or as many of the questions as you would like.  Don't forget to leave your blog url with your answer. And of course - comment on other comments if you would like!

1. What are you most self-conscious about?  (mini-survey for a future blog post!)
2. What's at the top of your Christmas list?
3. What is your favorite family tradition?
4. Hot cocoa or apple cider?
5. If you were a Spice Girl, what would your name be?
6. Read any good books lately?
7. Vote:  Should I chop my hair off or leave it long?
8. WiLdCaRd!  Ask a question that you would like answered!

1. What are you most self-conscious about?  I know this is weird, but I am so self-conscious about my hands.  I look younger than I really am, but I feel like I have the hands of an old lady.  If I had the opportunity to get work done for free, I would have collagen injected into my hands.
2. What's at the top of your Christmas list?  A personal trainer.  Feel free to get me one if you win the lottery, because it's definitely not in my budget!
3. What is your favorite family tradition?  Growing up, my family did all of the holidays at my Mamaw and Papaw's house.  However, my mamaw passed away a few days before Thanksgiving when I was six, so we went out to eat and from then on out have always kind of alternated where we have holidays.  Two years ago, we started having holidays at my papaw's house again.  I am sooo happy that my little brother is able to experience holidays the way that I did growing up.
4. Hot cocoa or apple cider?  Apple cider!  I love both, but we keep hot chocolate at work year round, so I can have it whenever I want.  I love apple cider because I only indulge in it in the fall and winter.
5. If you were a Spice Girl, what would your name be?  Sassy Spice!
6. Read any good books lately?  Embarrassingly, no.  I have been reading plenty of blogs, though!
7. Vote:  Should I chop my hair off or leave it long?  I spent ten minutes this morning trying to get it into a ponytail.
8. WiLdCaRd!  Can't wait to answer y'alls wild cards!  *insert red dress, salsa dancing emoji here*

Can't wait to read y'all's answers!  Hope you're having a great Wednesday!

  1. Hi! I love this idea.

    2. A personal trainer would be nice :) but I actually have a fitbit on my Christmas list and that is kind of the same thing, right?
    3. We have a lot of traditions around Christmas. After Christmas Eve Mass we always go and drive around looking at homes lit up with lights. As for Christmas Day, we are only allowed to open are stockings until everyone is awake and then we go one gift per person waiting and watching everyone open every gift in a circle. It's kind of hard to explain but opening presents is a 2+ hour affair.
    4. Hot chocolate with mini marshmallows
    5. Bookish Spice?
    6. I am currently reading Captive which is the sequel to Pawn that I loved last year and so far so good!
    7. I just chopped off my hair so I say, go for it!
    8. If you were given $1000 what would you do with the money?

Thanks for this fun post on hump day!

    1. Thank you, dear! It definitely wasn't original - I love it when The College Prepster & Mackenzie Horan do it :) And I LOVED reading your answers :)

If I was given $1000, I would probably put half in savings (I need a washer and dryer for my apartment so badly), and use the other half to buy nice Christmas gifts for my family. There is a program we do at work where we buy cereal for homeless children to take home with them over Christmas break, so I would also buy LOTS of cereal!

    1. Oh, Miriam! You are beautiful! And I will definitely check out your review :)

My favorite animals are dogs! They bring me so much joy. But I love animals more than I love people! (I once tried to make an opossum that I found in my garage a pet... She wasn't having it.)

  6. 1. What are you most self-conscious about? Probably the fact that almost everyone that graduated from high school with me are already graduating from college this May & I still have one more year...it's kind of unnerving.

    2. What's at the top of your Christmas list? Bean boots!

    3. What is your favorite family tradition? I love the way we celebrate Christmas morning, the entire family has a huge breakfast after opening presents. It's such a cozy feeling.

    4. Hot cocoa or apple cider? I really love both, so this is SO hard. But it has to be apple cider, there is just something about the comforting spicy smell & taste that I love.

    5. If you were a Spice Girl, what would your name be? Posh Spice because I kind of love Victoria Beckham.

    1. The real world isn't as fun as it seems... Definitely don't be sad about an additional year of college! Tests and homework suck, but I would do it all again if it meant I could be all in one place with my friends again, instead of being too tired after a long work week to meet up with them on a Friday night. I am sooo envious right now!

That is a tough question! I would paint them OPI's Mod About You! It's a pastel pink that's subtle enough, but not entirely subtle. What about you?

  7. 1. What are you most self-conscious about? (mini-survey for a future blog post!)
It's totally a toss up between my weight ( I think this is a super common one) and the scar on my neck from my thyroidectomy. Everyone says you cant see it but I can and I feel like its icky.

    2. What's at the top of your Christmas list?
I would LOVE to have a new laptop. This one is so beat up it's sad.

    3. What is your favorite family tradition?
Unfortunatley a lot of my family traditions died along with my Grandmother, but now that I'm an adult and have a place of my own, I'm trying to update them and bring them back! My newest fave is getting the family together and cooking a big meal for the Holidays, and using my Grammy's china.

    4. Hot cocoa or apple cider?
    Cocoa.Hands down.

    5. If you were a Spice Girl, what would your name be?
    Dry Sense of Humor Spice

    6. Read any good books lately?
Sadly no, work consumes my life. I re-read Something Borrowed at the end of the summer as a hammock read and loved every minute of it though!

    7. Vote: Should I chop my hair off or leave it long?
As someone who is currently recovering from my last hair chop off, keep it long. (I finally made it past my shoulders, woo!)

    8. WiLdCaRd! Ask a question that you would like answered!
What is the one thing about the holidays (Thanksgiving/Christmas) that you always are the most excited about?

PS. Totally feel your pain in your most recent post about how Christmas flies in like lighting. Here in Canada we have our Thanksgiving in October, and there's a few weeks of peace until after Remembrance Day (Nov 11) until everything barfs up Christmas. Its like you go to sleep on the 11th and the 12th its full on Christmas mode. I'm not readyyyyy!
