Getting Your Best Brows with Paula Dorf

God bless Southern Mommas.  I may not have been allowed to wear foundation until high school, but my mom started taking me to have my eyebrows done in sixth grade.  While I hated her for it then, I am so appreciative now.  My brow product regimen has seen some changes over the years... Middle school was all about using an old school eyebrow brush to keep them the way that they needed to be.  In highschool, I used clear mascara to keep them in place.  In college, I started waxing my own brows and went product free.  And a few months ago, I started using a pencil.  But currently, I am using my favorite product yet - Paula Dorf's 2 + 1 Brows in combination with a Paula Dorf Perfect Brow Brush.

I used some Paula Dorf products back in high school, so I was very excited to review this product!  If you're unfamiliar with Paula Dorf, the brand is famous for unique "trick" products that offer solutions to every woman's makeup concerns.  Three of their makeup brushes are even patented!  I love their signature phrase - Become your own makeup artist.  It gives me a whole new view on doing my makeup in the morning!

As much as I love trying new makeup, I get a little nervous trying products out for the first time.  I love 2 +1 Brows because it is super easy to use, especially in conjunction with the Perfect Brow Brush.   The product comes in 4 shades - blonde, brunette, neutral, and red.  Since my eyebrows are black, I went with the brunette shade.

DISCLAIMER:  I know that my brows look a little scraggly in the photos and need to be waxed.  Another reason I love this product is that I am trying to let my brows thicken up, and using the product makes my brows look much more "put together" than they truly are!

I start out by getting a little bit of powder on my brush, then following up by getting some wax on the Perfect Brow Brush.

Once the brush is coated and ready (and it really doesn't take much!), I fill in my eyebrows.  I've read about a million techniques, but I generally just trace the shape of my brow in feathery strokes - going up at the start of the brow, then filling in the arch, then paying a little bit of extra attention to the end of the brow closest to the ear.

As you can tell in this photo, I have only done the right brow on my right (your left.)

And here's the finished product!

Paula Dorf has been kind enough to give my readers a special deal!  After ordering the 2+1 For Brows online, enter the code "BROWBRUSH" at checkout to get the Perfect Brow Brush for FREE.  This brush is usually $24!!  (And who doesn't love a good gift with purchase?  Are y'all with me?!)

So, what do y'all think?  If you have any questions about the product, please feel free to leave them in the comments or shoot me an email.

Have a great day!

XX,

SS

Note:  This post is brought to you by a partnership with Paula Dorf via BrandBacker.  I was given a full size product and brow brush in exchange for an honest review.  All opinions are my own.

    1. You MUST! It is amazing and so simple. I didn't have time to put it on today, and I feel naked and can't stop touching my brows.

  5. I like how natural they look! I really hesitate to put any sort of product on my eyebrows because they tend to look a little fake (for me, others say they look great)...but this looks great on you! :-D

    1. Thank you so much!! I felt that mine looked a little fake with the pencil I was using, so I'm glad that I switched over to powder.

  6. I love your argyle sweater. Since my brows are so full and often tend to take over my face I don't need filler but your sweater caught my eye right away! Hope you're having a great week!
