Friday (Help-Me) Finds

First of all how cute is my sweet Franny girl in her Daddy's glasses?  Can you tell I'm a little obsessed with her?

I have been looking for two gala dresses for weeks now - one for an event that I planned & one for a HUGE event that is also through work.  The first one is a dress that I'll be able to move around in because I will still be working.  The second dress can be fun & whatever I want it to be!  I have been playing with the idea of a two piece dress, if the visible skin would be my rib cage and not actually my stomach.  The dress below is the kind of statement I'm trying to make, so if anyone knows where to find a budget version, holla at your girl!

I'm also struggling over what to be for Halloween for our work contest!  Any suggestions? Last year, I was Mary Kate & Ashley with a co-worker.... a cat & dog won... I'm really wanting to win so that I can get a day off!  Any suggestions?!

And last question of rambling - I am realizing that my wardrobe cannot go much longer without a pair of booties.  What color / brand would you recommend?  I need something comfy!

Hope that y'all have a great weekend!  I am waiting for the rain to subside so that my boyfriend & I can begin our weekend full of day trips!  What are you getting into this weekend?!

XX,

SS

P.S. - There's still time to win the monogrammed t-shirt that I'm giving away with The Preppy Pair!

Note:  This is not a sponsored post.  All opinions are my own.  Also, I own all photos with the exception of the Diane Kreuger photo.

  1. I'd recommend Rag&Bone newbury booties or Dolce Vita ones(budget friendly)!

  2. I think you cold really pull off a Breakfast at Tiffanys costume! ;-) and it's quite easy! I wanted to dress up as Anna (frozen), or a pilot, or Olivia (Popeyes)...something not so scary for the kids, since I am only dressing up for my job at the children's hospital. ;-)

  3. I think brown booties are the way to go because they can go with jeans and leggings. Check Nordstom or Lord and Taylor they have good selections. Ugh, thanks for reminding me I still have to come up with a costume idea too!
