Drugstore Makeup Wishlist

In previous posts, I have explained that I'm a recovering makeup snob.  I love my Smashbox products, but since moving, I have a hard time justifying the purchase of a foundation that is the same price as my electric bill.  Here are some cheapies that I'm wanting to try out.  If you've used any of the before, please let me know how you felt about them!

I have the Naked 3 Palette, but they aren't really "my colors."  I need new eyeshadow about as much as I need a hole in my head, but don't these shadows look lovely?!  The possibilities are endless.

I'm currently using a BB Cream, and I really like it, but I'm thinking I want something with a little more coverage for fall.  (Last night I actually mixed my own foundation from my BB Cream & some old Smashbox foundation that's a little too dark for me to have more coverage.  I'm thinking I might just be a BB cream girl on weekends.)
I love that there's also a concealer that specifically goes with the foundation!

I have been doing DIY gel nails for months, and as much as I love the results, I'm thinking that using one polish instead of layering 5 coats of different polishes would be much simpler!  I'm afraid that I'm overly optimistic for this product, but I will probably try it out anyway.

What drug store products are you excited to try?  Have any of you tried these products before?

Also, I'm on the hunt for a mascara that won't irritate my sensitive eyes... suggestions?

I hope that y'all have a great Friday!  Just a head's up, my blogging may be a little inconsistent over the next week!  My boyfriend is getting ready to leave for a two week training on the other side of the country, so my current priority is to spend time with him.  (It's crazy how we saw each other for less than three days every three weeks for the first six months of our relationship, and now that he's here, I feel weird if I don't see him multiple times a day.)  I hope y'all have a great weekend!!

XX,

S.S.

    1. It reminds me a lot of the original Naked Palette, but for a fifth of the price!

  3. The nudes palette looks AMAZING! Like a NAKED dupe! I'm a huge drugstore user. I'm very picky and too hesitant to spend that much money for something I'm not sure I will like. Currently I'm using the Maybelline Dream Fresh BB cream which I like a lot. Also the Maybelline Great Lashes Lots of Lashes mascara has officially become my perfect mascara. And if you are looking for a great lipstick, Revlon Colorstay Overtime would literally stay on for days if I didn't take it off!

  9. I have never tried those brands before. Stop by your favorite makeup counters and ask for samples, most companies are happy to put any sample in a small container. I use these to get me through when I cannot afford to buy a full-sized product.

  10. Have fun with your bf, and you'll see each other soon again, I'm sure. I've heard good things about the Maybelline nude palette. I've seen a promo in a magazine for a new one with purple shades, and I can't wait to find that in stores.
