Guest Post -- Friday Favorites: Spring Edition

Hey, y'all!  I hope everyone is having a happy Friday!  I know I'm super excited - it's going to be a busy weekend!  Instead of doing my usual Friday Favorites, my friend Morgan from The Tennessee Life is going to be sharing her Friday Favorites with you!  Hope everyone has a blessed weekend :)

When it comes to my favorite time of the year, I always think about spring. This spring in particular is one I am SUPER excited about. I am set to graduate May 10th, turn 22 AND see a sweet friend get married on May 18th, and have a HUGE graduation party on the 19th.

With everything happening so soon...I have started thinking about spring essentials that I am dying to break out! Now if only this Tennessee weather would cooperate…

{SPRING LIKE OUTFITS}
April showers bring May flowers...wait, wait, wait. SHOWERS? Yeah, that’s why I’m all about a hats, rain boots, and color for spring!

I LOVE mixing and matching when I style my outfits. SPRING is PERFECT for just that. Usually springtime consists of 60s-low 70s in East Tennessee. THAT is why my closet is FULL of long sleeved button ups. I wear them with EVERYTHING and always MIX prints!

Here is a fun way to mix and match with a button up for Spring!

For this simple outfit I paired a dressy lace skirt with a laid back denim shirt (which I also recommend for Spring.) I have added on a pair of Jack Rogers wedges, a yellow clutch, a floppy hat for the April showers, sunglasses, and simple gold and coral jewels!

It is no secret that my style is pretty preppy. It is however starting to change and adapt a bit more to my career choice and my age. Let’s face it, at some point we all have to start dressing a bit more grown up. I am a HUGE accessories girl... The more add-ons the better!

Remember...pale colors are PERFECT for Spring also!Screen Shot 2014-03-29 at 6.42.25 PM.png
This outfit incorporates a bunch of pale colors with a bunch of accessories. I paired a mint green skinny jean with a really pale peach peplum shirt! I made the look come together with a pair of Jack Rogers flats, a brown envelope clutch, a brown statement necklace, an MK rose gold watch, and a coral cocktail ring!

If there is one thing about warm weather that I love the most is has got to be the fact that I can wear sandals. I have a TON of shoes: boots, flats, sneakers, sandals, wedges, heels, etc. But there is no doubt in my mind that my all time favorite brand is Jack Rogers. There is something so classic, timeless, and sophisticated about their sandals. I love that you can wear them with denim, shorts, skirts, or dresses. They are my ALL TIME favorite shoe for outdoor spring/summer weddings and parties!

{YELLOW, PALE PEACH, and MINT GREEN}
In my opinion these are the colors of spring. I ADORE pale colors! The best part? ANYONE can wear them. Pale colors are easy for almost any skin tone.

Yellow to me is just so bright and cheerful. We’ve all been caught in this winter madness lately and are pretty much BEGGING for sunlight! So..why not wear a little sunshine on your body?

Pale peach is one of my ABSOLUTE favorite colors. PERIOD. It’s even the color I want to use when I get married. Most women cannot wear the color orange. Being from Tennessee, this is a shame (I still rock it on occasion.) I usually wear a pale orange or peach to University of Tennessee games and functions. This is a color that works well with my skin tone and most others as well.

Mint green is such a fun color for spring. I have never been a fan of the color green...but I am OBSESSED with mint shades. I have recently purchased a few pairs of earrings and some necklaces to add to my outfits! I love that it can be paired alongside most colors!

Anyone who knows anything about me or my blog knows I ADORE music...especially country music! I have provided a list of songs that you may or may not have heard of. Right now these are my favorite songs to jam to! I am all about new artists! Don’t recognize all the artists on this list? Meet M Callahan on my blog!

So welcome Spring with open arms! Wear pale colors, mix and match, and jam to upbeat country tunes! And remember...
